How It Works

Our Approach

We Do Not Sell Generic Training

Every TheSkillGrid program starts with understanding your specific situation. Here is exactly how it works from first contact to post-program follow-up.

🔍
Step 1

Tell Us What You Need

Use the contact form, email us directly, or call. Tell us what you are trying to develop, who the participants are, what format you need, and when. We respond within one business day for all enquiries.

If you already know which course you want, this step is straightforward. If you are not sure, we will ask a few questions to understand your situation before recommending anything.

What to tell us:

  • The capability you want to develop and why it matters now
  • Who will attend — role, level, industry background
  • Number of participants and preferred dates
  • Whether you need classroom, live online, or in-house delivery
  • Any specific organizational context we should know about

✏️
Step 2

We Design Your Program

For public courses, we confirm availability, pricing, and dates. For in-house programs, we develop a customized program proposal within three to five business days covering: learning objectives aligned to your specific outcomes, program structure and content adapted to your organizational context, delivery format and scheduling options, and investment.

Customization for in-house programs includes integrating your industry’s terminology, case studies, and challenges into every module. We do not rename a generic program and call it customized. We rebuild the application layer of every program around your actual organizational context.

Public Course Enrollment
Confirm your place on a scheduled cohort. Receive the pre-course profile form. No further customization needed.
In-House Program
Receive a full program proposal with customized content, delivery schedule, and investment within 3 to 5 business days.

📋
Step 3

Pre-Course Profiling

Once enrollment or program sign-off is confirmed, every participant completes a pre-course profile. This takes approximately ten minutes and covers their role, their organization, the specific challenges they face in this area, and what they most need from the program.

The facilitator reviews every profile before the first session. This is not a data collection exercise. It is how we ensure the program is calibrated to the actual situations of the people in the room rather than to a hypothetical average participant.

For in-house programs, this step also includes a pre-program consultation with the L&D lead or program sponsor to review the participant profiles and confirm any final program adjustments.

🎯
Step 4

Program Delivery

Every program is delivered live by a subject-matter expert. Sessions run across five full days for standard programs, either as a consecutive week or in a format agreed with the client for in-house delivery.

Maximum fifteen participants per cohort ensures every delegate receives real attention, real feedback, and real interaction with the facilitator throughout. The program is built around application — participants work with their own real organizational challenges throughout, not hypothetical case studies.

📊
Step 5

Post-Program Follow-Up

Every participant receives a Certificate of Completion and access to program resources and reference materials after the final session.

For in-house programs, the program sponsor receives a written post-program summary covering participant engagement, key learning themes, and recommended next steps for sustaining capability development within the organization.

We do not consider a program successful because participants enjoyed it. We measure whether participants leave with concrete plans, frameworks, and skills they will apply in their organizations. Post-program feedback is structured to capture application intent, not just satisfaction scores.

Common Questions

How far in advance do I need to book?
For public courses, we recommend booking at least three weeks in advance to secure your place and complete the pre-course profile process. For in-house programs, we typically need four to six weeks from initial contact to delivery to allow time for proposal development, customization, and participant preparation.
Can I enroll participants from different organizations on the same public course?
Yes. Public courses mix participants from different organizations and industries, which is a significant part of their value. Participants learn from each other’s different contexts and build professional networks across industries and organizations.
What is included in the course fee?
The course fee includes all program materials, participant workbook, tools and templates, and a Certificate of Completion. For classroom delivery, the fee does not include accommodation or travel. Lunch and refreshments are included at most classroom venues — this is confirmed at booking.
Do you offer certificates that can be added to LinkedIn?
Yes. Every participant receives a TheSkillGrid Certificate of Completion that can be added to LinkedIn profiles and included in professional development records. Certificates are issued digitally within five business days of program completion.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is included in the booking confirmation and proposal documents. For most public course bookings, cancellations made more than fourteen days before the program start date receive a full credit applicable to any future program. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
